Essay on 'Cow'

The cow is the most versatile of all domestic animals. She is very gentle. Even a small child can go to her. She is called cow-mother and is greatly respected.

The cow has four legs, two horns, two heads, a long tail and a nose.
She uses her ears and tail to scare the flies and mosquitoes away.
She ranges in color in size and eats green grass, there's hardly any country where the cow isn't.

The cow's value can be understood by the fact that everyone wants to keep her. She is milk giving animal, and nowadays many people deal with milk, so they keep cows.

Cows milk is used in various ways. It is a nutritious food. Children and patients need it for strength. curd and cheese are prepared from milk. Cow's hide is used for preparing leather goods. In addition to it, the cow is used as a gift to the Brahmin by a dying man or woman.

In spite of the advantage of the cow, she is not properly taken care of. She is worshiped but she id not given good food and pure water.

We have to honor the cow, and be kind to it.
